I would always be elated while preparing for my parents’ visit. They were only coming around like three or four times a year, because my dad could not get along well with being stationary for a few hours in those commercial airlines. And that time around, it was their first visit to our new home in Bay View. Our move from Florida to Michigan was quite abrupt because my husband’s work demanded him to stay almost permanently in Michigan and he could not afford to stay apart from us for that long.

We decided to go with him after he was able to find us a posh home in Bay View. The first thing that my dad, who was a retired police officer, was the absence of security systems in our new home. I told him that I did not have any in Florida anyway, and that I stayed at home full time most of the time. Yet he pointed out to me that the ‘most of the time’ was too dangerous to even fathom, knowing that his grandchildren are all girls.

Only a few weeks after our move did I realize that it pays to listen to your parents all the time. There could not be any better way to steer yourself from danger than to hear what your parents have to say. Our kitchen was the access of the burglars who ransacked our home and turned everything over. We were out for a family fishing trip in a nearby county and returning to such a sight was just heartbreaking. Not only did we get the most advanced
security cameras but we also got sensors. What a terrible way to learn indeed!

GOOD-LOOKING DIY ALARM SYSTEM

Posted by admin on July 11th, 2010

Alarm systems, anti-burglary sirens, and surveillance gadgets are getting better as time goes by. The streets of London and Paris are teeming with rectangular prisms and huge cubes containing government security gadgets. They look big, outdated, and scary. These surveillance tools are monitored by a central office, and many are dilapidated. Well, thanks to some enterprising people, we have better DIY Alarms readily available in the market. They are smaller, stronger, more high-tech, and very beautiful. Instead of the traditional rectangular hexahedron or the scary cube reminding people of “Big Brother”, the new alarm systems look gentler and friendlier. Their circular shape and fine design are not scary, and people would not notice their existence. You can place them in an excellent part of your store, and your interior designers can even blend the design of the alarm system with the overall design of the store.

The makers of DIY Alarm System have several designs to choose from, and they moved away from the “standard” design we see on our city streets and our subway stations. As mentioned in the first paragraph, the standard or old designs are unattractive and they look better on our streets than in our homes and business establishments. Browse our online gallery and you can see the numerous designs you can choose from. Some designs are excellent for dormitories, while others are fit for private homes. If you want your home or business to look more sophisticated or striking, we have those items for you. We also have numerous accessories and other add-ons for your chosen alarm system.
